Getting Started
Download & Install
Download BitChats from the App Store or Google Play. No registration required - just install and open.
First Launch
Open the app and you're ready to go! No phone number, email, or personal information needed.
Start Messaging
Type your message in the input field and press Send or hit Enter to start communicating.
Basic Messaging
📝 Send Messages
Type your message in the input field at the bottom of the screen. Press Send or hit Enter to send your message to all connected users.
👥 See Online Users
Check the user counter in the header to see how many people are online. Tap it to open the sidebar and see the user list.
🔄 Real-Time Updates
Messages appear instantly for all connected users. The interface updates in real-time as people join and leave.
Working with Channels
🏗️ Create or Join Channels
Type /j #channelname to create or join a channel. Channels are topic-based group chats for organized conversations.
🚪 Leave Channels
Use /leave to exit the current channel and return to the main chat area.
🔐 Password Protection
Channel creators can set passwords using /pass [password] to control access to their channels.
Private Messaging
💬 Send Private Messages
Tap on any user's name to open a private chat. All private messages are end-to-end encrypted for maximum security.
⌨️ Command Method
Alternatively, use /m @username message to send a private message via command.
